On my back

A little milestone today: I did 1100 and 600 was backstroke.
I haven’t been swimming free style for a while since the bike fall last October. I could do a few laps of free but that’s it. Not for long.

I never learned the backstroke but just kind of do it. Today, I did it for long and happy with the result.

My little bathing cap, goggles and bottle of tea are the witness -:).

Life is short, live it hard

WSJ reports the former Sara Lee CEO Brenda Barnes Dies at 63.

In 2010, Ms. Barnes had a stroke while working out at a gym near her home in suburban Chicago and resigned as CEO of the company when it became clear she faced a long recovery. She was able to regain much of her mobility but didn’t return to work. The balance is thin and varies from person to person: how much and often do you exercise. My take is, do as you desire. If you enjoy doing it, then by all mean, do it.

Luc Robitaille and his home: Staples Center

For a causal fan, I know Wayne Gretzky but not Robitaille. However, his status is bigger than Gretzky in front of the downtown in LA. As I was amusing loud, one of the guys in team’s uniform, pointed to a man walking by me, “that’s him.”
Oh well. I was too slow to take a better picture of him.
