This year it began on Sunday, May 26 in Paris, till June 9. I attended the next two days, on Monday and Tuesday with my gang.

First, something new: the center court – Philippe Chatrier that seats 15,225, a red clay wall, and a 5,000 seat court Simonne-Mathieu – my favorite and I spend much of my second day there. Tennis, as whole must have some banner years for them to expand so much recently, New York for example,
Second, I got to watch Serena play on the new center court. It is the last one to add a retractable roof, by next year, 2020.
Third, the security check is tight: checking bag and patting down. Then there is another layer: they issue you the ticket at the entry with your name printed (same as 2017), and you need to present your photo ID with your ticket to finally get in.
Court Suzanne Lenglen has 10,068 seats.
